About The Position

Seeking Charge Nurse! Baptist Health Floyd, 2D Neuro Unit. Part-time (24 Hours Weekly), Nights (7pm-7am). Benefit Eligible. Self-Scheduling! This is an entry-level leadership position responsible for the coordination of care on designated shifts. He/she will provide leadership to the staff members of the unit in the area of patient care. This position will work alongside the team and provide direct patient care while determining needed staffing fluctuations during shifts, responding to departmental concerns, address immediate staff issues and coordinate patient flow. This position has immediate oversight of employees while performing the same or directly related work as those the position leads.

Requirements

Graduate of an approved nursing program, holding a minimum of an ASN.
Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
BLS for healthcare provider required.
ACLS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
NIHSS certification required (obtained within 10 weeks of hire).
One year of nursing experience required.
Professional/Specialty certification required as per unit/department standards.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in area of specialty preferred.
