Charge RN 2D Neuro Unit FT Nights
About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Charge Nurse for their 2D Neuro Unit. This is a full-time, night shift position (36 hours weekly, 7pm-7am) and is benefit-eligible. A sign-on bonus may be available for experienced applicants. This role is an entry-level leadership position responsible for coordinating care during designated shifts, acting as a resource nurse, and providing leadership to unit staff in patient care. The Charge RN will work alongside the team, provide direct patient care, determine staffing needs, respond to departmental concerns, address staff issues, and coordinate patient flow. This position has immediate oversight of employees performing similar or related work.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved nursing program, holding a minimum of an ASN.
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
- BLS for healthcare provider required.
- ACLS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
- NIHSS certification required (obtained within 10 weeks of hire).
- One year of nursing experience required.
- Professional/Specialty certification required as per unit/department standards.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience in area of specialty preferred.
