About The Position

Seeking a Registered Nurse for the 2D Neuro Unit at Baptist Health Floyd. This is a part-time position (24 hours weekly) with night shifts (7pm-7am) and a Weekend Only Work (WOW) schedule. The role is benefit-eligible and offers a sign-on bonus for experienced applicants. The RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge, functioning as an on-shift team member to meet patient, family, and co-worker needs. The Neuro Intermediate Unit (NIU) is a 41-bed unit specializing in Neuroscience and Progressive Care (PCU) step-down nursing, with excellent nurse-to-patient ratios (3-4:1). The unit provides high-quality care to adult patients, including those with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, TIAs, seizure/epilepsy, degenerative disorders, autoimmune disorders, and central nervous system disorders. As a certified Primary Stroke Center, the unit is recognized as a state-of-the-art stroke care center. The NIU is known for its exceptional teamwork, clinical expertise, and supportive environment, making it an attractive place for new graduates and experienced nurses alike. The unit is supported by 24/7 leadership, including clinical coordinators and a stroke coordinator.

Requirements

Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
BLS for healthcare provider required.
ACLS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
NIHSS certification required (obtained within 10 weeks of hire).
