About The Position

Misericordia Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is hiring a full-time LPN or RN Charge Nurse for its five-star nursing home. The Charge Nurse provides professional nursing care to older adult residents and helps set the standard of care for both residents and the nursing team. The role is scheduled Tuesday through Friday, 2:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m., with Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays off. The facility describes a supportive work environment and low patient-to-staff ratios. Candidates must hold current Pennsylvania LPN or RN licensure and have at least two years of long-term care experience.

Requirements

• Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse.
• At least two years of experience in a long-term care setting.
• Genuine concern for the needs of older adults.
• Strong customer service skills with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care, including administering prescribed medications and treatments.
• Document pertinent information in resident care notes and charts.
• Assist with resident admissions, transfers, and discharges in accordance with physician orders, facility policy, and governing regulations.
• Provide companionship and nursing care, and ensure residents understand the care being provided.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the CNA team.
• Use assessment skills and make decisions to support resident care.
