About The Position

The Charge Registered Nurse uses theoretical concepts as a basis for practice decisions and assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with nursing practice standards. The role provides patient care while leading and supporting a multidisciplinary team in delivering safe, high-quality outcomes. The Charge Nurse coordinates daily unit operations, serves as a clinical resource and mentor, and supports quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives. The position is full-time and offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus; eligible full-time RNs must have at least one year of experience. No contract is required.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate Degree, Diploma, or BSN.
• Current RN license in the state of practice or compact licensure.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association, or obtain it within 30 days of hire.
• At least one year of experience for full-time RNs eligible for the sign-on bonus.

Nice To Haves

• Charge nurse or leadership experience.
• Specialty certification such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, OCN, CPHON, C-EFM, or another unit-specific certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Administer treatments, medications, and nursing interventions.
• Provide patient and family education to support positive outcomes.
• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Coordinate daily operations, including staffing, assignments, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff.
• Support quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
