About The Position

Supervise and coordinate unit operations and activities during a specific shift to ensure quality patient care, operational efficiency, and continuity of care. Maintain authority for resource allocation. Assist the Nurse Manager and/or supervisor in patient management. Supervise the work of registered nurses and non-licensed members of the nursing staff.

Requirements

• One year of hospital-based acute care experience.
• Current RN license to practice in the State of Texas.
• BLS and PALS certifications.
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Meet unit-specific education and/or certification requirements.
• Obtain ARIN certification in the practice specialty within three years.
• Possess critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Possess effective oral and written communication skills.
• Possess effective interpersonal relationship skills.
• Ability to use computers for documentation.
• Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
