About The Position

The Change Specialist ensures that project and organizational changes for a targeted IT initiative transition smoothly by managing the impacts of change, promoting collaboration between departments, and aligning outcomes with operational goals. This role supports project-related change initiatives, including impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, training, and ownership of key change management activities. The Change Specialist collaborates closely with Project Team members to develop and implement organizational change management plans that support project objectives and achieve established adoption metrics.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in change management, organizational development, or project management, implementing change initiatives in a corporate environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Certificate in Change Management or Change Practitioner Certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using change management software and tools.
  • Strong understanding of change management principles, practices, and frameworks.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to make creative recommendations and improvements based on evaluation data and change adoption metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide stakeholders through organizational, process, and technology changes.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage established change management frameworks and methodologies to manage transitions and ensure successful adoption of changes in policies, processes, technologies, and organizational structures.
  • Work with stakeholders to assess change impacts and develop comprehensive plans that promote successful adoption and sustainment of project-related changes.
  • Guide multiple stakeholder groups through change by ensuring proper adoption of new policies, processes, organizational structure changes, and technologies, using project reporting, KPIs, and other adoption metrics.
  • Increase cross-departmental collaboration by consulting with business units to align project goals with operational priorities and ensure that changes integrate effectively into business operations.
  • Act as a role model for change within the organization and help develop and support leadership’s capabilities in leading change.
  • Track the effectiveness of change adoption initiatives using reporting and KPIs to identify emerging trends, and provide recommendations to enhance adoption and mitigate resistance.
  • Provide support to individuals adjusting to change by coordinating communications, training, and other change-related activities to reduce resistance to changes in policies, processes, and technologies.
  • Collaborate with the Project Team to develop comprehensive plans for post-project and ongoing organizational change support, ensuring that changes remain effective and embedded in day-to-day business practices.
  • Follow up with leaders and stakeholders during business transitions to ensure change adoption is sustained and to identify any required adjustments.
  • Investigate and identify any regression from desired change adoption levels and develop incremental plans to improve adoption and achieve targeted change metrics.
  • Report regularly on progress, KPIs, and other change adoption measures to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
  • Proactively identify risks and issues related to change adoption and recommend mitigation strategies.

Benefits

  • The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
