CFOR Tutor
About The Position
The Department of Chemistry and Forensic Science at Eastern Kentucky University is hiring a CFOR Tutor for the Spring 2027 semester, with the option to renew as openings are available. The position is based at the Richmond Campus and is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week. The successful candidate must be enrolled full-time at EKU and meet eligibility requirements for Federal Work Study and/or Institutional Work Study. Candidates pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Forensic Science, or a related STEM program are strongly encouraged to apply. Offers of employment are contingent upon a satisfactory background check. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled full-time at Eastern Kentucky University.
- Must meet eligibility requirements for Federal Work Study and/or Institutional Work Study.
- Must have completed General Chemistry courses CHE 111 and CHE 112.
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 for all courses taken.
Nice To Haves
- Candidates pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Forensic Science, or a related STEM program are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Completion of CHE 361 - Organic Chemistry with a high GPA.
Responsibilities
- Tutor students in all offered chemistry and/or forensic science courses.
- Maintain the center, including upkeep of inventory.
- Assist students with computer needs.
- Monitor printer functions.
