About The Position

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) to provide compassionate, specialized care at its Alzheimer’s Care Center in Gardiner, which serves individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. The CRMA provides patient care under the supervision of an RN, in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and the organization’s policies, values, and mission. This is a part-time position scheduled for 32 hours per week on the evening shift, from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Requirements

Current Maine CRMA certification is required.
Personal Support Specialist certification is required within 120 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

One year or more of experience is preferred.
Basic Life Support Provider certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform basic patient care activities under the supervision of an RN.
Administer and distribute medications as directed and in accordance with physician orders.
Complete all required medication documentation.
Report abnormal findings or changes in residents’ physical, mental, or emotional conditions to nursing staff.
Help maintain a safe, clean, and orderly patient environment.
