About The Position

MedLink Georgia is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to support healthcare professionals in delivering patient-centered care in Habersham, Georgia. The role includes assisting with examinations and procedures, documenting patient information in the eClinicalWorks electronic health record system, preparing examination rooms and equipment, administering medications and injections as directed, and performing basic laboratory tests and specimen collection. The Medical Assistant also provides patient education, handles scheduling and insurance verification, and helps maintain an organized clinical environment. The successful candidate must be comfortable using a third-party language line for some communication.

Requirements

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent communication, multitasking, and patient care skills.
Familiarity with EHR systems and basic computer skills.
Comfort using a third-party language line for some communication.

Nice To Haves

Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and updates in electronic health records (eClinicalWorks).
Prepare examination rooms and ensure medical equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing.
Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, and health maintenance.
Handle scheduling, insurance verification, and administrative tasks as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
