About The Position

Physicians Choice Home Health, part of Obran Cooperative, is hiring a full-time or part-time/per-diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to serve patients in the South Bay LA Area. The COTA provides occupational therapy services in patients’ homes to help them regain independence and improve daily functioning. The role works under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and collaborates with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care. Obran Cooperative is a worker-owned healthcare organization that offers clinicians a voice, shared ownership, and a long-term stake in the organization.

A limited-time hiring bonus is offered: $2,500 for full-time COTAs or $1,250 for part-time/per-diem COTAs. Compensation is listed at $25–$60 per hour, depending on the work performed. Visit and reimbursement rates vary by visit type and employment status (1099 or W2), and may be adjusted in the future. Mileage and cellular device reimbursement are provided.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Assistant program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Active California COTA license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patient homes.
• Home Healthcare experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with the Kinnser/WellSky EMR; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home occupational therapy visits under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safe movement.
• Document visits in WellSky/Kinnser in a timely manner.
• Communicate patient progress and concerns to the care team.
