About The Position

Physicians Choice Home Health is hiring a full-time or part-time/per diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide occupational therapy services to patients in their homes in the South Bay LA Area. The COTA helps patients regain independence and improve daily functioning, working under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and alongside a healthcare team providing patient-centered care. Physicians Choice is part of Obran Cooperative, a worker-owned healthcare organization that offers clinicians a voice, shared ownership, and a long-term stake in the organization.

A limited-time hiring bonus is offered: $2,500 for a full-time COTA or $1,250 for a part-time/per-diem COTA. Compensation is listed at $25–$60 per hour, depending on the type of work performed. Visit and reimbursement rates vary by visit type and employment status (1099 or W2), and rates may change in the future with employees notified of changes.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Assistant program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Active California COTA license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patient homes.
• Home Healthcare experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with the Kinnser/Wellsky EMR; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home occupational therapy visits under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safe movement.
• Document visits in WellSky/Kinnser in a timely manner.
• Communicate patient progress and concerns to the care team.
