About The Position

Uplift HomeCare, LLC is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for part-time and PRN home health work in Odessa, Florida, and surrounding communities. The COTA provides one-on-one care to seniors and veterans in their homes, helping them improve everyday functioning, build confidence, and maintain independence. The role offers flexible scheduling and compensation of up to $60 per visit. Work may begin after required onboarding and credentialing are complete.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active Florida COTA license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Required AHCA Level II background screening.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while following the supervising OT's direction.
• Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Home health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Implement established treatment plans within the scope of practice.
• Assist patients in improving functional abilities and activities of daily living.
• Guide patients through prescribed therapeutic activities and exercises.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safety techniques, adaptive strategies, and home programs.
• Monitor patient responses and report progress or changes in condition to the supervising OT.
• Complete accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Coordinate with the supervising therapist and care team to support quality patient outcomes.
