About The Position

Physicians Choice Home Health, part of Obran Cooperative, is hiring a full-time or part-time/per-diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to serve patients in the South Bay LA Area. The COTA provides occupational therapy services in patients’ homes, helping them regain independence and improve daily functioning. The role works under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and alongside a team of healthcare professionals delivering patient-centered care. Obran Cooperative is a worker-owned healthcare organization that offers clinicians a voice, shared ownership, and a long-term stake in the organization.

A limited-time hiring bonus is offered: $2,500 for a full-time COTA or $1,250 for a part-time/per-diem COTA. Compensation is $25–$60 per hour, depending on the type of work performed. Visit and reimbursement rates vary based on visit type and employment status (1099 or W2), may be adjusted, and employees will be notified of changes.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Assistant program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Active California COTA license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patient homes.
• Home healthcare experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with the Kinnser/WellSky EMR; this is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home occupational therapy visits under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
• Educate patients and caregivers about exercises and safe movement.
• Document visits in WellSky/Kinnser in a timely manner.
• Communicate patient progress and concerns to the care team.
