About The Position
Vibra Hospital of Southeastern Massachusetts is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants. The hospital is a 90-bed critical care hospital in New Bedford, Massachusetts, providing acute care to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries, including patients with medically complex conditions. It offers a fast-paced, friendly work environment where staff can get to know patients and their families. Eight- and 12-hour shifts are available. The Nursing Assistant helps patients with personal hygiene and activities of daily living and assists licensed nursing personnel in providing patient care. The role includes providing and documenting activities of daily living, maintaining a clean, healthy, and safe environment, using basic infection-control procedures and nutrition and fluid-intake skills, and recognizing and responding to emergencies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
- Ability to project a professional image.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
- Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
Nice To Haves
- Current, valid, and active certification to practice as a Nursing Assistant or Nursing Aide in the state of employment.
- Multi-Skilled Technician (MST) certification, Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification, or current enrollment in a nursing program with at least one clinical rotation.
- Acute care or LTAC experience.
Responsibilities
