About The Position

Cedar Ridge Village is a senior living community offering independent living, assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, and long-term care. The community is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct, hands-on care to residents in a nursing home environment and help them attain or maintain the highest possible physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The position is part-time, with openings for up to 29 hours per week, as well as PRN night shifts. CNA shifts are generally four or eight hours. The community follows CMS and CDC protocols and guidelines and is a tobacco-free campus, including electronic cigarettes.

Requirements

• Complete an approved Certified Nursing Assistant training program.
• Pass competency examinations in clinical skills and written knowledge in accordance with statutory requirements for Certified Nursing Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Uphold the community’s philosophy and goals for maintaining, improving, or enhancing residents’ quality of care and quality of life.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living as outlined in their care plans.
• Complete documentation of resident care as assigned.
• Follow safety policies while providing nursing care and ensuring resident safety.
• Follow the community’s policies and procedures and the rules in its employee handbook.
• Attend and participate in facility meetings and in-service training programs as assigned.
• Follow infection-control guidelines.
• Immediately report changes in a resident’s condition to the Charge Nurse.
• Observe residents’ rights, including privacy and dignity.
• Promote positive public relations with residents, family members, and guests.
