About The Position

Tuscany Village Nursing Center in Oklahoma City is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants to provide personal care and assist the charge nurse in a long-term and rehabilitative care facility. The role involves working an 8-hour day or evening shift as part of a multidisciplinary team providing clinical care, rehabilitation, wellness, and supportive services to residents. The CNA supports residents' safety, comfort, and independence; contributes to care planning and implementation; observes and documents residents' conditions; and helps maintain a clean, hazard-free environment. The position requires compliance with safe lifting and resident-transfer procedures and may involve moderate to heavy lifting.

Requirements

State certification as a nursing assistant.
Complete familiarity with the duties of a certified nursing assistant.
Highly developed observation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

Provide residents with personal care in a manner that supports their safety and comfort and follows community policy.
Promote and support the greatest possible degree of independence for residents.
Advise the supervising charge nurse of residents’ status at the beginning and end of each shift.
Contribute knowledge of residents’ conditions and needs to resident care plans.
Assist with implementing care plans as directed and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Observe and report residents’ conditions and document observations as required.
Follow established procedures for safe lifting and transferring of residents.
Ensure equipment is clean and functional.
Perform incidental housekeeping or maintenance tasks as needed to maintain a clean, hazard-free environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
