About The Position
Covenant Living is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to provide direct daily care to residents in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. The role supports residents’ quality of life and independence in a supportive, faith-based community focused on teamwork, respect, and service. The Certified Nursing Assistant reports directly to the nurse manager and may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff. The position provides basic personal care according to procedures and daily assignments, and may assist with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services. The employee may be cross-trained in Assisted Living.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant program in the State and passing the associated test.
- Listed on the State’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct daily care to residents.
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transportation or transfers.
- Maintain residents’ rooms in a clean and orderly manner, including changing linens, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside tables, shelves, and closets, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Assist with resident laundry, ensuring clothes are marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away; notify a supervisor of clothing needs.
- Prepare residents for meals, assist with meal service, and feed residents as needed.
- Assist with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
- Follow procedures and daily assignments for resident personal care.
- May be cross-trained in Assisted Living.
