About The Position

Covenant Living is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to provide direct daily care to residents in assisted living and memory care. The role supports residents’ quality of life and helps create peace of mind for residents and their families in a supportive, faith-based community. The CNA reports directly to the nurse manager and may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff. The position may be cross-trained in skilled nursing if desired.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of and passing the test for an approved Nursing Assistant program in the state.
• Listed on the State’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with basic personal care according to procedures and daily assignments, including bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transportation or transfers.
• Assist with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
• Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner, including changing linens, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside tables, shelves, and closets, and cleaning bathrooms.
• Assist with resident laundry by ensuring clothing is marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away; notify a supervisor of clothing needs.
• Prepare residents for meals and assist with serving meals and feeding residents.
