About The Position

The Med/Surg/Tele Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position is located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, California. Working under the direction of a licensed nurse, the CNA provides nursing care within their scope of practice, following unit-specific standards of care and the medical center’s policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Current BLS (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to use phone etiquette and computer skills.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• At least six months of recent hospital experience in med/surg and/or psychiatric care.
• Current, valid Certified Nurse’s Assistant certification, or current enrollment in an accredited Registered Nursing program with completion of the first clinical curriculum semester.
• Complete Assaultive Behavior Management training within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience as a Monitor Technician, or completion of a dysrhythmia course for monitor technicians within 90 days.
• Completion of a unit secretary course or equivalent healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the CNA’s scope of practice under the direction of a licensed nurse.
