About The Position

Waverly Heights is seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate, high-quality care and support residents’ well-being. The role focuses on helping residents with daily living, mobility, meals, monitoring and documenting care, and promoting a safe, supportive environment. CNAs work with the nursing team, residents, and families to communicate and address residents’ needs. Full-time CNAs are scheduled for 37.5 hours per week.

Requirements

• Pennsylvania Certified Nursing Assistant Certification is required.
• Exceptional customer service skills.

• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Help residents walk, transfer, and change position to support mobility and independence and prevent bedsores.
• Assist residents with eating and drinking while ensuring they follow dietary requirements.
• Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration, and promptly report concerns to the nursing team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident care, observations, and changes in condition.
• Provide emotional support and companionship and promote social engagement and belonging.
• Maintain a safe environment by keeping resident areas free from hazards and following infection control protocols.
• Interact positively with residents’ families and promptly address concerns.
• Continue learning and improving skills by staying current with training and certifications.
• Advocate for residents and communicate their needs to the care team.
• Follow confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines.
• Perform other duties that support the effective operations of the healthcare department.
