About The Position

Certified Nursing Assistants at Select Specialty Hospital - Greensboro provide compassionate care to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery following intensive care. The role supports patients through vulnerable stages of recovery and involves personal care, hourly rounds, transportation assistance, equipment cleanliness, room upkeep, and maintaining unit supplies. This is a PRN night position in Durham, North Carolina, scheduled from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with compensation of $24 per hour. The employer offers an extensive orientation program and potential advancement to full-time opportunities. Part-time and per-diem employees may be eligible for a 401(k) after reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or subsequent calendar year.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or experience in a related field such as medical assisting or active enrollment as an RN student.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient services, including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers when necessary and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment, such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
