About The Position
Care Initiatives is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate care in one of its skilled nursing communities in Iowa. The role supports residents during their healthcare journey by assisting with daily activities, providing companionship and emotional support, monitoring health, and helping maintain a clean and safe environment. Full-time and part-time overnight shifts are available.
Requirements
- Hold an active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or be able to activate the certification.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Have a compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive, engaging environment.
- Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor residents’ health, including conducting routine vital checks.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities to support residents’ health and daily routines.
- Follow infection control protocols to help maintain a clean and safe environment.
