Nights - Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
About The Position
Giving Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide one-on-one care to a patient in their home in Kingman, Arizona. The CNA administers care according to a physician-established plan and helps the patient with daily activities, personal care, companionship, and basic emotional or psychological support. The role works collaboratively with registered nurses, case managers, physicians, family members, and other prescribed individuals. Care is provided at the patient’s residence, and the 1099 contract opportunity offers overnight hours. Offers are contingent upon passing a background check.
Requirements
- Current CPR certification.
- Current First Aid certification.
- TB test and physical examination.
- Ability to monitor vital signs.
- Good interpersonal skills and a caring, compassionate personality.
- Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move patients.
- Ability to work under stressful conditions and make quick decisions.
- Successful completion of a background check; offers are contingent upon passing.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of caregiving experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one services to the patient in their home.
- Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
- Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support.
- Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping.
- Transport and accompany the patient to doctor or hospital visits.
- Follow the patient’s established plan of care and execute the physician-prescribed plan.
- Maintain compliant records and documentation of care in the system of record, including daily services.
- Monitor vital signs, temperature, respiration, and other measures according to the plan of care.
- Remind the patient to take medication and administer it as prescribed.
- Communicate with the patient’s family, doctors, and other prescribed individuals about the patient’s health and care.
