About The Position

Glendive Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Long-Term Care team on a PRN basis. This role is ideal for CNAs looking for scheduling flexibility while continuing to make a positive difference in the lives of residents.

Requirements

  • Current Montana Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • To remain active in PRN status, team members must work: At least one shift per quarter
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting
  • Ability to safely move or assist patients using proper techniques and equipment
  • Capability to respond quickly during emergency situations
  • Ability to lift, transfer, push, or pull up to 75 pounds as needed
  • Ability to safely assist residents with mobility and daily care activities
  • Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous CNA experience with positive professional references

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on care that promotes the comfort, dignity, and well-being of residents.
  • Assisting residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
  • Supporting residents with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
  • Assisting with meals, feeding, hydration, and resident comfort needs.
  • Obtaining and documenting vital signs, weights, intake and output, and other resident information as assigned.
  • Observing and reporting changes in resident conditions to the licensed nurse.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in the medical record.
  • Contributing to a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
  • Assisting with resident admissions, transfers, and other unit activities as needed.
  • Collaborating with nurses and other team members to deliver high-quality resident-centered care.
  • Utilizing downtime productively by stocking supplies, rounding on residents, and supporting unit needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
