About The Position
Glendive Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Long-Term Care team on a PRN basis. This role is ideal for CNAs looking for scheduling flexibility while continuing to make a positive difference in the lives of residents.
Requirements
- Current Montana Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- To remain active in PRN status, team members must work: At least one shift per quarter
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting
- Ability to safely move or assist patients using proper techniques and equipment
- Capability to respond quickly during emergency situations
- Ability to lift, transfer, push, or pull up to 75 pounds as needed
- Ability to safely assist residents with mobility and daily care activities
- Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous CNA experience with positive professional references
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on care that promotes the comfort, dignity, and well-being of residents.
- Assisting residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Supporting residents with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
- Assisting with meals, feeding, hydration, and resident comfort needs.
- Obtaining and documenting vital signs, weights, intake and output, and other resident information as assigned.
- Observing and reporting changes in resident conditions to the licensed nurse.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in the medical record.
- Contributing to a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
- Assisting with resident admissions, transfers, and other unit activities as needed.
- Collaborating with nurses and other team members to deliver high-quality resident-centered care.
- Utilizing downtime productively by stocking supplies, rounding on residents, and supporting unit needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
