About The Position

Highland Park Health Care in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide personal care to residents and assist the charge nurse during 8-hour shifts. The CNA works as part of a multidisciplinary team at a facility specializing in long-term and rehabilitative care, supporting the facility’s mission to provide clinical care, rehabilitation, wellness, and supportive services that meet residents’ needs and expectations.

Requirements

State certification as a nursing assistant.
Complete familiarity with the duties of a certified nursing assistant.
Highly developed observation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care in a manner that supports residents’ safety and comfort and follows community policy.
Promote and support residents’ greatest possible degree of independence.
Advise the supervising charge nurse of residents’ status at the beginning and end of the shift.
Contribute knowledge of residents’ conditions and needs to resident care plans.
Implement care plans as directed and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Observe and report residents’ conditions and document observations as required.
Follow established procedures for safe lifting and transferring of residents.
Ensure equipment is clean and functional.
Perform incidental housekeeping or maintenance tasks as needed to maintain a clean, hazard-free environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
