About The Position

Continuum Hospice is seeking a full-time Hospice Aide (CNA) to provide hands-on care that brings comfort and dignity to patients at the end of life. Working closely with the nursing team, the aide helps meet patients’ physical, emotional, and personal needs with respect, empathy, and professionalism. The position covers Woonsocket and Pascoag. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with weekend rotation coverage. The posting advertises a $2,500 sign-on bonus. The stated pay range is $22.00–$23.00 per hour; final compensation depends on relevant experience, qualifications, and the specific responsibilities of the position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current, unencumbered CNA certificate in the state where the employee works.
• At least one year of CNA experience in an acute care or long-term care setting.
• Current CPR certification if required by the state.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
• Access to dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Follow each patient’s plan of care to support comfort and well-being.
• Respond promptly and compassionately to requests from patients and their families or caregivers.
• Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding and clothing, and shampooing.
• Provide exceptional customer service and work to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Share knowledge and expertise with families, guiding and supporting them in caring for terminally ill loved ones.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the patient’s home and in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.
