About The Position

Signature HealthCARE of Rockwood Rehab & Wellness Center is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). The facility is a 157-bed center providing skilled nursing and rehabilitation in a person-centered environment. The CNA performs direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel and helps promote a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment in accordance with facility policies and procedures. Care is provided within the CNA’s scope of practice, state regulations, and each resident’s plan of care. The position offers a $1,500 sign-on bonus and a $5.00 weekend shift differential. Requirements

Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from the state in which the facility operates.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
Customer-service orientation and ability to work well under pressure.
Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
Ability to function independently, with flexibility and personal integrity, and to work effectively with stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
Help promote a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident rooms on a regular basis.
Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information as assigned.
Routinely turn and position residents as necessary.
Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
Assist in orienting and training other staff, as requested.
Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.
