About The Position

Preferred Care at Home of Wake Forest, Zebulon, and Henderson is building its local CNA team to support seniors in Zebulon, Wendell, and nearby eastern Wake County communities. Our CNAs provide personalized, one-on-one assistance that helps older adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. This is an assignment-based home care position. Schedules and weekly hours vary based on client needs, caregiver availability, proximity, and compatibility. As our client base grows, additional assignments and hours may become available.

Requirements

• Active, good-standing listing on the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Registry
• Reliable transportation to clients’ homes
• Compassionate and respectful approach to senior care
• Dependable and professional work habits
• Ability to complete required background screening

Nice To Haves

• Home care or facility experience preferred
• Dementia care experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assisting with activities of daily living
• Bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
• Safe transfers and mobility assistance
• Companionship and emotional support
• Medication reminders
• Meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Observing and reporting changes in a client’s condition
• Following the client’s established plan of care
