Certified Nursing Aide CNA | up to $24.90 per hour on 2nd shift! (Bay City, MI)
About The Position
Bay Shores Senior Care and Rehab Center is hiring a Certified Nursing Aide to provide patient care and support guests’ daily living needs. Nursing Assistants build relationships with patients and families, serve as friends and companions, and help the clinical team identify potential medical issues by noticing changes in mood and behavior. The role includes documenting care according to individualized care plans, supporting therapies and well-being, and promoting a positive environment and excellent customer service. Positions are available full-time or part-time, on all shifts, with 8-hour shifts that include rotating weekends and some holidays. The posting advertises pay of up to $24.90 per hour on second shift, composed of base wages of $17.50–$20.00 based on years of certification, $3.40 per hour in Hero Pay, and a $1.00–$1.50 per hour shift premium for second or third shift.
Requirements
- Completion of an approved Nurse Assistant training program.
- Current CNA certification from the State of Michigan is required.
- Excellent customer service skills and commitment to delivering excellent, passionate, innovative care.
- Ability and willingness to work as a team player and support team members.
Responsibilities
- Perform and document patient care using individualized care plans.
- Provide bathing and activities-of-daily-living care, including skin care, preventative and supportive care, routine morning and evening mouth care, shaving, and dressing.
- Perform and document nutritional intake, blood pressure, TPRs, catheter care, bowel and bladder training, weights, turning, positioning, range of motion, and ambulation.
- Support physical, psychological, occupational, speech, restorative, and recreational therapies by encouraging continued well-being.
- Observe and report significant changes in a patient's routine or condition to the nursing team as appropriate.
- Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in interactions with guests, families, and visitors.
- Help create a positive, healthy environment in which guests can heal and thrive.
- Support team members and contribute as a team player.
