Certified Nurse Aide CNA | $24 per hour (Jackson, MI)
About The Position
Faith Haven Senior Care is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants to provide daily care and companionship to guests and build relationships with patients and families. CNAs assist with activities of daily living and observe changes in mood, behavior, or condition that may help the clinical team identify potential medical issues. The position supports the facility’s clinical nursing team and promotes patients’ well-being, comfort, and recovery. The role offers 8-hour shifts, with rotating weekends (one weekend per pay period). Openings are listed for second and third shifts, with one full-time and one part-time position. The facility is located at 6531 W Michigan Ave, Jackson, MI 49201.
Requirements
- Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant training program.
- Current CNA certification from the State of Michigan.
- Excellent customer service skills and commitment to delivering excellent, passionate, innovative care.
- Team-player attitude and dedication to supporting team members and completing the work.
Responsibilities
- Encourage and support physical, psychological, occupational, speech, restorative, and recreational therapies and patients’ continued well-being.
- Perform and document patient care using individualized care plans as a guide.
- Provide bathing and activities-of-daily-living care, including skin care, preventative and supportive care, routine morning and evening mouth care, shaving, and dressing.
- Perform and document nutritional intake, blood pressure, TPRs, catheter care, bowel and bladder training, weights, turning, positioning, range of motion, and ambulation.
- Observe and report significant changes in patients’ routines or conditions to the nursing team as appropriate.
- Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in interactions with guests, families, and visitors.
- Use kind words and encouragement to help create a positive, healthy environment for patients.
