About The Position
Cascade Senior Care Center is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide to provide compassionate care and companionship to guests. Nursing Aides build relationships with patients and families, assist with activities of daily living, and observe changes in mood or behavior that may help the clinical team identify potential medical issues. The role supports the clinical nursing team and promotes a positive, healthy environment for guests and visitors. The position offers 8-hour shifts on first shift (6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.) or second shift (2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.). All shifts include rotating weekends and some holidays. Part-time and full-time schedules are available. The starting wage is $19.50 per hour, with yearly wage increases.
Requirements
- Completion of an approved nurse aide training program and passing the test.
- Current Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification from the State of Michigan; required.
- Excellent customer service skills and commitment to delivering excellent, passionate, innovative care.
- Ability to work as a team player and support team members in getting the job done.
Responsibilities
- Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in daily interactions with guests, families, and visitors.
- Encourage a positive, healthy environment through kind words and support.
- Perform and document patient care using individualized care plans as a guide.
- Provide bathing and activities-of-daily-living care, including skin care, preventative and supportive care, routine morning and evening mouth care, shaving, and dressing.
- Perform and document nutritional intake, blood pressure, TPRs, catheter care, bowel and bladder training, weights, turning, positioning, range of motion, and ambulation.
- Support physical, psychological, occupational, speech, restorative, and recreational therapies by encouraging continued well-being.
- Observe and report significant changes in a guest’s routine or condition to the nursing team as appropriate.
