Certified Nurse Aide CNA | $22.40 an hour! (St. Louis, MI)
About The Position
Schnepp Senior Care & Rehab is hiring Certified Nurse Aides to provide assistance with activities of daily living and build supportive relationships with guests and their families. CNAs help the clinical nursing team by noticing changes in guests’ mood, behavior, routine, or condition and reporting significant changes. The role offers full-time or part-time opportunities, with eight-hour shifts available on the second shift for full-time employees and second or third shifts for part-time employees. All shifts include rotating weekends and holidays. The posted wage is $22.40 per hour, consisting of a $19.00 starting wage plus $3.40 per hour in Hero Pay, with yearly wage increases.
Requirements
- Completion of an approved Nurse Assistant training program.
- Current CNA certification from the State of Michigan.
- Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to excellent, passionate, innovative care.
- Ability to work as a team player and support team members in getting the job done.
Responsibilities
- Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in daily interactions with guests, families, and visitors.
- Encourage a positive, healthy environment through kindness and support.
- Perform and document patient care using individualized care plans.
- Provide bathing and activities-of-daily-living care, including skin care, preventative and supportive care, routine morning and evening mouth care, shaving, and dressing.
- Perform and document nutritional intake, blood pressure, TPRs, catheter care, bowel and bladder training, weights, turning, positioning, range of motion, and ambulation.
- Support physical, psychological, occupational, speech, restorative, and recreational therapies by encouraging guests’ continued well-being.
- Observe and report significant changes in guests’ routines or conditions to the nursing team, as appropriate.
