The CNA assists residents with personal care, mobility, positioning, and engagement, and records vital information accurately while maintaining a clean and well-stocked resident environment.

Requirements

Hold a current Nursing Assistant Certification from the State of Texas.
Be able to accurately record information and perform technical procedures.
Communicate well and demonstrate self-discipline and patience.
Genuinely care for elderly individuals and people with disabilities.
Understand and uphold the Patient Bill of Rights and Employee Responsibilities.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Demonstrate strong attendance, multitasking skills, and a professional, cooperative demeanor.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with grooming, bathing, catheter care, pericare, and dressing according to care policy guidelines.
Change linens and ensure grooming supplies are stocked.
Safely ambulate and transfer residents using assistive devices and proper body mechanics.
Accurately document vital signs, weights, intake and output, and meal consumption.
Turn and reposition residents routinely for comfort and safety.
Lead range-of-motion exercises and provide reality orientation as directed.
