Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) - Rehabilitation
About The Position
Anderson Rehabilitation Institute is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for its 34-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital in Edwardsville, Illinois. The hospital provides individualized rehabilitation for people recovering from severe injuries and illnesses, including stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. The CNA assists nursing staff with patients’ personal care, emotional support, and activities of daily living. More complex duties are performed under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. This is a full-time night position with three 12-hour shifts.
Requirements
- Completion of a nursing assistant course is required.
- Current state certification as a nursing assistant is required.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Six months or more of experience in an acute or long-term care facility preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist nursing staff with patients’ personal care.
- Provide emotional support to patients.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
- Perform more complex duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
