The CNA works closely with the care team to provide high-quality service, following care policies and safety procedures while respecting residents’ rights.

Requirements

Current Nursing Assistant Certification from the State of Texas.
Ability to accurately record information and perform technical procedures.
Good communication skills, self-discipline, and patience.
Genuine care for elderly people and individuals with disabilities.
Professional and cooperative demeanor, multitasking skills, and strong attendance.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with grooming, bathing, catheter care, pericare, and dressing according to care policy guidelines.
Change linens and ensure grooming supplies are stocked.
Safely ambulate and transfer residents using assistive devices and proper body mechanics.
Accurately document vital signs, weights, intake and output, and meal consumption.
Turn and reposition residents routinely for comfort and safety.
Lead range-of-motion exercises and provide reality orientation as directed.
Follow safety policies and procedures and uphold the Patient Bill of Rights and Employee Responsibilities.
