About The Position

The Certified Nurse Aide I (CNA I) supports patient care in the Emergency Department at Frye Regional. The role includes monitoring patients, assisting with daily activities and care transitions, documenting findings, and maintaining a clean patient environment. Care must be appropriate to each patient’s condition and age. The schedule is three 12-hour day shifts, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Current state NA I license.
Completion of an NA course from an accredited school.
Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
Compassionate nursing assistant with an understanding of critical care principles and advanced patient monitoring.

One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor vital signs and blood sugars.
Assist patients with activities of daily living; document and report abnormal findings or changes in patient condition.
Measure and document intake/output and weights.
Assist nurses as needed.
Answer call lights.
Assist with patient admission, transfer, and discharge.
Provide care appropriate to the patient’s condition and age.
Distribute drinks and/or snacks.
Maintain a clean and neat patient room and work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
