About The Position
Willamette Valley Medical Center is hiring a PRN Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support patient care in its hospital in McMinnville, Oregon. The CNA performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, using critical thinking and decisive judgment while working with minimal supervision. The role serves patients across the lifespan, from neonates through older adults, and requires occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens and other biological and chemical hazards. The position pays $20.25–$29.15 per hour. The schedule is PRN, and the CNA may work flexible shifts or units as needed. Willamette Valley Medical Center is a 60-bed hospital and part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Oregon CNA license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possibly taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
- Report abnormal findings or changes in patients’ physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
- Help keep patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean, and orderly.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
- Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts or units as needed.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
