About The Position

Advocare, LLC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide high-quality direct patient care and support healthcare providers through clinical and administrative responsibilities. The role is part of a physician-owned partnership serving New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, and contributes to a clinical team focused on patient care and service. The position requires proficiency in routine clinical procedures, strong communication skills, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant.
At least 1 year of experience in a clinical or medical office setting.
Strong understanding of medical procedures, terminology, and administrative functions.
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High attention to detail and organizational ability.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.

Responsibilities

Obtain and record patient medical histories and vital signs.
Prepare patients for examinations and assist during exams and procedures.
Perform point-of-care testing, collect specimens, and prepare laboratory materials.
Maintain accurate electronic health records and complete documentation.
Answer phones, verify insurance, schedule appointments, and process referrals.
Maintain medical supply inventory and perform equipment upkeep.
Prepare and disinfect examination and treatment rooms.
Provide patient education and transmit physician instructions.
Support compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other healthcare regulations.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
