About The Position

Sentara Vascular and Vein Center is currently hiring a Certified Medical Assistant in Charlottesville, VA. This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, from 8am to 4:30pm, with occasional floating as needed. The Certified Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative/clerical tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Requirements

• Less than a year of related experience required
• High School Diploma OR equivalency required
• Certified Medical Assistant
• Registered Medical Assistant
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
• Certified EMT (EMT-B)
• BLS within 90 days of hire date

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations.
• Works under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
