About The Position

Memorial Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for its Family Medicine Solano team. Under the supervision of a physician or nurse, the CMA assists with patient assessments and treatments, performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection, monitors and communicates changes in patient condition, and documents care. The role also maintains medical equipment, supplies, and examination areas, and performs assigned administrative or clerical duties. The schedule is full-time days: Monday through Thursday, 7:50 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; Fridays typically end at 3:00 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program or equivalent.
Hold a CCMA, CMA, or RMA credential.
Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Assist with performing patient assessments and treatments under the supervision of a physician or nurse.
Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
Document patient care provided.
Maintain medical equipment and supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
Maintain examination areas.
Perform assigned administrative or clerical duties, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
