About The Position

The Certified Medical Assistant supports Winchester Family Medicine Boonesboro, a patient-focused primary care clinic providing family medicine services to patients of all ages. The clinic emphasizes preventive care, chronic disease management, wellness visits, and continuity of care. The CMA performs routine clinical and administrative duties and works with providers and the care team to support patient care and coordination.

The role is full-time, day shift, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST. The team describes its environment as collaborative, with supportive leadership and a focus on high-quality, compassionate care and exceptional patient experiences.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification required.
• Current BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine clinical and administrative duties in support of the assigned area or office.
• Take vital signs, document patient history, and update electronic health records.
• Assist providers with exams and procedures, and with administering medications or injections.
• Perform basic laboratory tasks and prepare specimens.
• Keep exam rooms clean and stocked.
• Support front-office duties and patient care coordination, including scheduling, insurance verification, and patient education.
