About The Position
MedLink Georgia is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to support healthcare professionals in providing patient-centered care to the community. The role includes clinical support with examinations, procedures, medications, injections, laboratory testing, and patient education, as well as documentation and administrative tasks. The Medical Assistant must be comfortable using a third-party language line to communicate.
Requirements
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and patient care skills.
- Familiarity with EHR systems and basic computer skills.
- Comfort using a third-party language line to communicate.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
- At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and updates in the electronic health record system, eClinicalworks.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure medical equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing.
- Provide patient education about medications, treatment plans, and health maintenance.
- Handle scheduling, insurance verification, and administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
