About The Position

This role is for a Certified Medical Assistant at Columbia St. Mary's in Milwaukee, WI, specializing in Bariatric care. The position is full-time, day shift. The Medical Assistant will assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, treatments, and specialized clinical duties. They will also interview patients to record medical history and measure vital signs, and prepare and sanitize treatment rooms, ensuring medical supplies are ordered and stocked.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Registered Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Registry of Medical Assistants also accepted.
Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, treatments, and specialized clinical duties.

Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms while ensuring all medical supplies are ordered and stocked.
