About The Position

SRMH Medical Group is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for its Resource Pool in the Harrisonburg, Virginia area. This full-time role supports approximately 10 primary care clinics, with a float schedule provided a month in advance. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, with start times varying between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

The Certified Medical Assistant performs patient-care and administrative or clerical tasks and procedures within the scope of their training, education, and competency evaluations. Work is delegated and supervised by a Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, Registered Nurse, or Licensed Practical Nurse. A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 is available for qualified candidates.

Requirements

• Less than one year of related experience is required.
• High school diploma or equivalency is required.
• Must hold one of the following certifications on the first day of employment: Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, or Certified EMT (EMT-B).
• BLS certification is required within 90 days of the hire date.

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy experience is highly preferred.
