About The Position

Advocare, LLC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join its healthcare team. The CMA provides high-quality direct patient care and supports healthcare providers through clinical and administrative work. The role involves routine clinical procedures, clear communication, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach. The Certified Medical Assistant will be an integral member of a clinical team focused on exceptional patient care and service in a dynamic healthcare environment. Advocare, LLC is a physician-owned partnership of pediatricians, family practitioners, and specialists in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant.
• At least 1 year of experience in a clinical or medical office setting.
• Strong understanding of medical procedures, terminology, and administrative functions.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
• Commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and patient service.
• Compassionate, patient-focused demeanor and a team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record patient medical histories and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist during examinations and procedures.
• Perform point-of-care testing, collect specimens, and prepare laboratory materials.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and complete documentation.
• Perform administrative duties, including answering phones, verifying insurance, scheduling, and processing referrals.
• Maintain medical supply inventory and perform equipment upkeep.
• Prepare and disinfect examination and treatment rooms.
• Provide patient education and transmit physician instructions.
• Support compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to support seamless patient care.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
