About The Position

This role is for a Certified Medical Assistant at Ascension's All Saints Spring Street Campus in Racine, WI, within the Dermatology department. The position is part-time, requiring 20 hours per week, with availability Monday through Friday between 7 am and 5 pm. Specific hours will be determined upon hire. The Medical Assistant will support physicians and nurses in patient examinations, treatments, and specialized clinical duties. Responsibilities include interviewing patients to record medical history and vital signs, preparing and sanitizing treatment rooms, managing medical supply orders and stocking, and handling clerical tasks such as phone correspondence, record maintenance, and filing.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
  • Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Registered Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Registry of Medical Assistants also accepted.
  • Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, treatments, and specialized clinical duties.
  • Interview patients to record medical history and accurately measure vital signs for charting.
  • Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms while ensuring all medical supplies are ordered and stocked.
  • Manage essential clerical tasks, including phone correspondence, record maintenance, and filing.
