Gastro One is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant to join their team. The company focuses on providing an exceptionally high level of patient care. Requirements
- Medical Assistant certification or the equivalent
- Previous M.D. office experience or clinical work.
- Maintain current licensure and BLS certification.
- Maturity, empathy, and patience.
- Ability to adjust to a fast-paced environment and follow proper protocols.
Nice To Haves
- Membership in the State and National SGNA recommended.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient check-in procedures, including patient work-ups and new patient history.
- Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous medications as directed by physician.
- Perform phlebotomy for lab work and complete required forms.
- Approve prescriptions and communicate with pharmacies at direction of physicians.
- Assist in maintaining general medical records.
- Schedule patient appointments and other procedures in the computer as needed.
- Schedule outpatient x-rays and tests as needed.
