About The Position

This role is for a Certified Medical Assistant in the Pre-Surgery department at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola. The position is full-time and operates on a day shift schedule. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for measuring vital signs, interviewing patients, preparing exam rooms, and assisting providers or RNs with clinical treatments and patient care. They will also document provider-patient encounters, including diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions, and transcribe lab, radiology, and medication orders. Core office duties such as answering phones, maintaining patient records, filing, and managing daily administrative tasks are also part of the role. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will maintain a clean and orderly clinical environment and manage inventory by ordering and stocking necessary medical supplies.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Medical Assistant obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
one year of front medical office experience
Lab experience
