About The Position
Sentara Medical Group St. Lukes is hiring a Full-time Certified Medical Assistant for Family Medicine in Carrollton, VA. The Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Requirements
- HS - High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (Required)
- Certified Medical Assistant OR Registered Medical Assistant OR EMT-B OR NREMT
- Up to one year of related experience required
Responsibilities
- Performs patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations.
- Works under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
